INNOVATION INSPIRES PROGRESS

How Do We Conduct Research?

Robust Research Methodology

Every year, ASLE conducts research trials (replicated small plots & field scale farm trials) in Canada and the USA at university research stations and independent institutions on different crops to evaluate ATG products and technologies and cover a variety of soil types and climates.

ASLE Ag-research team conducts research projects that aim to provide farmers with safe and effective systems for plant nutrition, restoring soil quality, crop protection, and plant growth through products and technologies that enhance the overall soil-plant energy system.

The team investigates critical issues: crop nutrient uptake, stress amelioration, nutrient translocation, and yield parameters. ASLE carries out systematic assessments of these issues that are critical to developing recommendations with the best combination of packages for each application of fertilizers, plant protection, and crop vigor.

ATG products can be used on a variety of crops with the best results when used at the right time in the right method and the right rate. Research trials on various crops demonstrated the efficacy of the products both at small plot research trials and field-scale farm trials. ATG products can be used on all crops from Wheat, Canola and Apple to Zucchini.

Our Current Projects

Canada’s greenhouse gas reduction targets are also set to reduce emissions by 30% below 2020 levels by 2030. Globally, synthetic nitrogen fertilizers are a major driver of the climate crisis, contributing 2.4% of greenhouse gas emissions. With the invention of manufacturing major nutrient fertilizers that are fundamentally different from synthetic fertilizers manufacturing from fossil fuels and other mineral sources, ASLE has taken the challenge to mitigate the emissions and contribute to the sustainable agriculture with dependable, profitable, and sustainable we focused our current research project to measure the N2O emissions using manual surface chamber method in canola field.

In addition to this mega project ASLE is also conducting independent research and On-Farm trials in several locations in Western Canada and US states (California, Arizona, Florida, North Dakota, Washington and more..) on multiple crops wheat, canola, oats, barley, flax, durum, corn, peas, lentils, organic wheat, organic peas and more..

Crop Nutrient Planning

A Way to Truly Optimize For Yields & Protect the Environment.

ATG uses innovative technologies to unlock the power of natural biology in a unique way. The result is easy-to-use organic products that provide superior nutrition while supporting sustainable agriculture.

ASLE offers products that are approved for organic farming in Canada. Please contact us for specific details.

ATG products contain Plant Available Nutrients (N, P, and K) in shelf-stable, easy to handle forms. ATG products require significantly low application rates compared to other organic fertilizers and can help organic growers utilize all of their crop land every year, reducing the need for green manure crops and/or summer fallow. ATG Products contribute to a sustainable farming system by replenishing soils with organic matter. ATG products offer a significantly higher guaranteed analysis compared to commonly available organic nutrient sources, without any disadvantages such as odors, low nutrient availability, high salt content, and weed contamination. The results presented are not to be considered as claims.

Crop Nutrient Planning is a best management practice that aims to optimize crop yield and quality, minimize fertilizer input costs and protect soil, water, and the environment. The principles of this are simple: ensuring that the added nutrient is available to the crop and has no potential contaminants to the soil, water, and air.

Nutrient management for farms has traditionally been concerned with optimizing the economic returns from nutrients used to produce a crop. However, more recently, nutrient management has begun to address ways to minimize the negative impact of excess elements on the environment, e.g., the leaching of nitrogen through the soil raising groundwater nitrate levels, release on nitrous oxides into the atmosphere. In addition, runoff and erosion may increase nitrogen and phosphorus levels in surface waters, which can lead to eutrophication and related problems such as algae scums, odors, and loss of fish populations. Good CNP can help to avoid these problems and bring the best possible returns for inputs.

The ASLE team of professional agronomists, Crop advisors, and specialists work closely with growers, gathering farm-specific information to include in their CNP.

We provide customized plans for each grower to best suit their crops and operations.

Our research trials on different crops demonstrated that ATG products can significantly increase profit margins with reduced inputs across a variety of soils, climates, and management practices.
